Haven House Services’ programs provide a lifeline to youth in need in our community – whether they are homeless, in-crisis, facing legal issues, and/or having problems at school.  With more than 45 years of unmatched expertise and a wide range of programs, they strive to ensure that all youth in our community are safe, supported, and prepared for the future.  They have 10 programs, helping approximately 1,200 youth each year.  If you want to hear how Haven House can change the trajectory of a youth’s life, check out this 1-minute video: https://youtu.be/Pd_68OMqQi4

What your gift can do?

  • $10 provides meals for a day for youth staying at their Wrenn House shelter – the only temporary shelter for youth ages 10-17 who are homeless, runaways, or in crisis in the entire Triangle area. Most youth stay 8 days or more.
  • $50 provides one week of healthy snacks for youth participating in our Second Round after school program – which uses fitness, exercise, and boxing to teach youth self-discipline, team work, and healthy habits and help them make positive choices.
  • $100 provides 5 hours of mentoring and/or case management for youth at high-risk of gang involvement and/or who are having difficulty at school or home.
  • $250 provides 1 night of shelter, counseling, and supports to a youth who is homeless or in-crisis staying at Wrenn House.
  • $500 provides 4 young adults experiencing homelessness 1 month of outreach services through our Street Outreach Program.
  • $1,000 gives 1 youth the opportunity to build skills needed to overcome challenges in our Second Round program for 1 year.
  • 5,000 provides 250 hours of crisis counseling to youth and families in need. Last year, Haven House staff members answered more than 850 crisis calls.
